[livejournal.com profile] yav_14 just reminded me that I never posted my spring and summer knitting projects! So here they are. Only a few, don't worry...

Baby Blanket #1 Baby Blanket #1
I made this for [livejournal.com profile] sirrogue's master teacher from when he was student teaching this spring; she went on maternity leave near the end of the semester. The pattern is the Bunny Hop blanket, and the yarn is KnitPicks Shine Worsted in Wave. This picture isn't a good representation of the color, though; see below.

This shows the color much better. I liked it a lot-- a nice bright blue with a smidge of greeniness. I adore this pattern, too; the diamonds are pretty, but not fussy, and blessedly gender-neutral.
Baby Blanket #2 Baby Blanket #2
This one was for [livejournal.com profile] sirrogue's friend Ta and his wife, who had their first baby (a girl) in July. Pattern is this lace-paneled baby blanket, yarn is KnitPicks Shine Sport in Grass. If I ever think of doing a whole baby blanket in sportweight yarn again, shoot me.

This gives a little better view of the leaf pattern on the blanket.
Baby Sweater Baby Sweater
This one's for my cousin Ryan and his girlfriend, who also had their first baby (a boy) in July. First great-grandchild in the family! Pattern is the Daisy baby sweater from Knitty, yarn is the same KnitPicks Shine Sport in Grass. I love the look of the sweater, but boy, is it ever a pain to sew up all those seams! This was the first real sweater I ever made, and I don't think I'm so much cut out for sweater knitting. Socks rule!
