the twilight zone...
Today for lunch, I went across the street to Arsenal Mall, figuring to get some Burger King and do some fast sundress shopping in Filene's Basement and Marshall's. Neither store had anything remotely suitable, but then I noticed that Contempo Casual was having a sale, and they had a rack of dresses visible, so I poked my head in.
Oh my God. Somehow, I must have stepped into a parallel universe. That's pretty much the only explanation, because not only is everything there dirt cheap (every article of clothing has the original price scratched out), they're having a buy-one-get-one free sale. Everything in the store. It's like some bizarre outlet store in a boondocks mall. Geesh, why couldn't I have discovered this store when I was looking for my Tarts and Jedi outfit?? Knee-high black boots, $8. Gold fake-leather pants, $5. It's crazy.
So even though Contempo Casual is a store I'd normally never consider shopping in, and even at these crazy prices I'd still never consider buying most of their clothing, I'm absolutely going there after work tomorrow. The sundresses they have don't look right on me (why does NO ONE have A-lines? WHY?), but they have some awesome-looking shirts, including a couple of blue ones. Yay for malls by work. :-)
