A little bit of a Dragon*Con report

Well okay, not so much of a report yet-- I'm borrowing princess_lesa's idea and making a little pictorial record of all of my costumes from D*C 2007. I brought five and wore all five! Woo!

Thank you! Five was really a lot for me...I almost didn't wear the rainbow dress and do the photoshoot, but I'm glad I did cause I got to meet more people. That's really too bad about your SH gown-- sadly our pictures of the three of you in your gowns just did not turn out nicely either. Maybe it was the lighting?

You can totally get one! They're trying to get enough girls together for another order-- I think there needs to be 12 at a time. There's a yahoo group for it, and I can give you more details if you're interested. :D

Dude, I give all credit for that first one to David and his camera skillz. I have no idea how he took that picture so awesomely. That's about the only jump I can sort of do right (I like to pretend I'm a cheerleader sometimes, because I'm weird).

That Kaylee one cracked me the hell up when I saw it! I'm really not sure what's going on there-- maybe it was right after the Stargate Atlantis guy walked by me and commented on my dress and I was freaking out?

Yeah, pretty much all my costuming at D*C was late at night, rather than during the day. It was hard enough to get around in the daytime without people stopping to ask for pictures!

I do, sometimes! She's just so giant and fluffy, it's not really a dress you can throw on and walk around a con floor in.

D*C is definitely a lot of fun! It's a very different kind of con from the ones I've been to before, but still great.

To this day every time I see that rainbow dress, the first place my brain goes is "Polychrome." :-) I think whoever designed the costumes for AotC must've been an Oz fan, because they dressed Padme as Ozma in one scene and Polychrome in another! *g*

Your costumes are gorgeous as always. I wish I had the skill to make something like that, but I never learned to sew at all except for cross-stitching! :-)

And thank you! Hey, five years ago, about the most I'd ever done was cross-stitching and a few straight seams on my mom's sewing machine. I honestly think that anyone can learn to sew-- you just have to be willing to screw up a lot, is all. :)

I absolutely love your Kaylee dress! Everyone always comments on how like Kaylee I am, and I've been told in no uncertain terms that I MUST make the Shindig dress. I'll be sure to check out your site when I go to make it! Yours is definitely one of the closest colour wise that I've seen! :D
