House:

- I sure hope House brushed his teeth. (Okay okay, internally I was shrieking like the fangirl I am. But I mean Fox already spoiled the hell out of it, and that really was my first thought when I finally saw the episode.)

- Can we keep Head!Amber somehow? She is *awesome.*

- Dude, *what* is up with Cameron. That was just...really really weird. Run, Chase, run!!!

Castle:

- Beckett is a closet Castle fangirl! AAAAAAHHHH!

- Square-jawed FBI dude was boring. as. heck. Sucked all the energy out of his scenes.

- Star Wars references throughout! ILU writers!

- I LOVE THIS SHOW OMG. Please please pretty please pick it up, ABC?

And because we finally have the fancy new TiVo that lets you record two shows at once, we were able to tape HIMYM and BBT! We are super behind on HIMYM though. Blarg!

Your TV-watching life sounds pretty close to ours. We are looking at getting a "fancy new Tivo that lets you record two shows at once". In HD! Right now we have 2 Tivos, each recording different shows. Castle is about 50/50 by the way, to get renewed. The fact that they haven't picked it up yet is not good. They've renewed the "regulars" (Lost, DWTS, Private Practice etc) and only a couple of the shows are still on the table. Castle has a chance based on it's ratings and Fillion-fanbase, but even those are slipping. (I work for ABC) I think it probably will be get picked up, but it's lead-in "Surviving Surburbia" is a bad lead-in, but gets (slightly) higher numbers. I'm hoping they kill the Bob Saget show and replace it with something that has some merit. Could go the other way though. Saget gets higher numbers, (at a better slot).
BTW - Love HIMYM/BBT! Cobie (Robin) is pregnant in real life, it's funny watching the camera angles the use (and purses/other things to hide the baby bump). They did a similiar thing when Alyson Hannigan was pregnant.

Yeah, I've been following the renewal predictions/speculation pretty closely. Too bad about Castle's ratings, because it's a great show.

We were just talking with friends the other day about the ridiculous lengths they've gone to in order to hide/explain the bumps. :) At this point they just sort of assume we're all in on the joke though...
