The kissy didn't bother me, although it seemed kinda out of the blue for both. I'd rather have Spike mean and bitter then all Buffy-adoring like he's been. (Very glad I missed last week, though, it would have only honed my rage.) Buffy ruins any vampslut who falls for her, honestly. I got to break out my classic 'Just spin off already!' during the shippy scenes. Can't wait for Spike/Angel beatdown/snark-off. As Buffy brings out what I hate in Spike, Angel brings out the Spike I love.
Overall I really like the ep. Anya and Andrew cracked my shit up, as did the Faith/Buffy exchange. It was all very meta, but cute. Needed more Giles, though. Everything is much improved with more Giles.
I find it amazing though that ME found the ONLY way to get me to watch Angel- and that's bringing Spike on board. Like Dunc, I can't wait for that to start flying.
Angel annoys me to no end. He's never responsible for his actions, his good/bad side is based on if he has a soul or not- not his choices. Spike has owned up to making the choices he has at least. I don't trust Angel as far as he could throw me. ;)
