website updates, yippee

I finally finally finished updating my costume site with last year's projects. (World's worst procrastinator, that's me.)

1. Senatorial Leia
2. Debby's wedding dress
3. Kaylee's fluffy Shindig dress

Yaaaaaay. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my theatrical design stuff. Give it its own section on the page? Make an entirely different webpage? I definitely want to hunt down pics from City of Angels and Mattress, because I have only a few low-res ones of the former and none at all of the latter. (Oh, happy archivists...)

Best thing about that picture of you and Joss? He looks just as giddy/excited to be getting it taken as you do. :-D

If you're serious about pursuing a career in costuming, then I would suggest a "work" website. You can always link from this website over to that one. But I think it's always nice to have a really nice looking web page to be able to refer people to.

I'm kind of torn, because I do consider my reproduction work to be part of my construction portfolio. And where does the Musical Edition go? Well, maybe I'll put it in both places.

Wow! Those are great costumes, and of course Debby's dress is beautiful. And you got a picture with Joss! I'm so jealous! :-)

Thank you!

The dresses are gorgeous of course, and I've already told you that about each of them I think.

What struck me today was different. You do a great job explaining the original inspiration and the entire construction. And it's just plain well-written. Very very professional.

I want to be more like you when I write up knitting projects!

Thank you, Nancy! I'm really glad to hear that. I've worked more lately on trying to make the pages clear and intelligible, giving details without being ridiculously boring. I need to go back over some of my older costumes and revamp their explanations. ;-)

Debby's wedding dress, and the picture you linked from your research, looks remarkably similar to the kind of dress I'd like for my wedding. You'll have to share your research with me. Although I don't plan on making my own. I just like looking. :)
