That story is hilarious! Reminds me very much of our move when my blender was taken apart into three pieces and then they were boxed separately! Packers! No system!
::snort:: This is why I discovered the joys of United Van Line's unpacking method so useful.
They literally unpacked all the boxes and just lay things in the middle of the floor of each room. Took away the boxes. (SO much easier than taking them to the recycling center, myself.)
It looked insane, but it made it easier to find those oddly misplaced pieces. If there are no small children or mischievous animals, you might want to switch to that method.
Isn't unpacking a riot?! Think the key is to continue to see the humor in all the weird things that happen, or get Richard B. to come assist with the task -- hilarity definitely would ensue!
