the weather outside is

JESUS CHRIST IT'S A LION COLD GET IN THE CAR BED. I am so cold. I am a freaking pansy, but I am so so cold. At last night's softball game (got on base twice, scored two runs, we won) my left big toe actually went numb, I was *that* cold. So I made yummy yummy baked potato soup and now I am procrastinating going downstairs and catching up on Heroes because I'm scared to watch it when I'm alone in the house and it's dark and stuff.

How the hell did it get to be nine-thirty? I should go knit or something.

Oh also! Justice League season 2 has arrived from Netflix and it is LOVE. "Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard." Aw, grouchy!Bats, never change.

ETA: Okay, I have now seen Heroes episodes 4 and 5. Yes, I am very very behind. But now I'm to the point where everything I haven't seen is still on the Tivo, so that'll go more quickly. (It has to, cause it's taking up rather a lot of Tivo space.)

Hee!! Grouchy bats is the best. :) Had to post to use this icon... ;) :p

and sorry it's cold. ;( One good reason to live in Florida I guess.

I also bow to your knitting greatness. I tried to learn and found I am apparently retarded. Now I am attempting to learn crochet. I bought a 'crochet a scarf in a day kit'-- I now have about 7 random 'things' made of pink yarn. I have name them such things as pink snowflake and twirly worm.

Mind if I lick your icon? *g*

I'm in freaking San Diego! It was eighty degrees a week ago! This below-fifty business is NOT COOL. Actually, it is COLD. BRRRR.

I learned to knit to make Jayne hats. I still can't make much more than that. I did learn to crochet a long time ago. It helps lots to have someone to watch and tell you what you're doing wrong, though.

The world is indeed screwed up if Atlanta is warmer than San Diego.

The mind boggles.

And hooray for Heroes! I don't think you'll need to wait for daylight to watch from here out. The grossness factor drops dramatically.

VERMONT. VERMONT IS WARMER THAN SAN DIEGO. The world is UPSIDE DOWN.

yeah... it's cold. bleh. we've turned on the heat in our house, and have an additional heater for the bedroom.

my office here at work is odd - when the heat is on, the top third of the room gets warm (heater duct in ceiling)... which does no good if you are sitting down at a desk. the middle third of the room is ok, and the bottom third of the room (leg level when seated) is cold.

got your RSVP :)

Baked potato soup, you say?

From scratch? Or a can?

More details about the soup :)

And congrats on the winning at softball and all...

Scratch! I used this recipe (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baked-Potato-Soup/Detail.aspx) from allrecipes.com except I had no bacon, so I left it out and used butter instead of the drippings. And way less basil, and no hot sauce. It was deeelicious.
