movie quote meme

From everybody on the flist, most recently [livejournal.com profile] ladyamaryllis:

1. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Italicize when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie. (Striking out makes it hard for people to read.)
5. Looking them up is cheating, please don't.

1. "Yup, two corpses, everything's fine." - [livejournal.com profile] azarsuerte
2. "Hey, James Bond, in America we drive on the right side of the road." - [livejournal.com profile] hollywdliz
3. "When really, it was the angle at which she slammed into the ground!" - [livejournal.com profile] ferdalump
4. "There's a difference between like and love. Because, I like my Skechers, but I love my Prada backpack." - [livejournal.com profile] hollywdliz
5. "Well, everybody else we've bumped into has died. Why not you?" - [livejournal.com profile] portnoyslp
6. "They revered me. I was a god." - [livejournal.com profile] hollywdliz
7. "Did I ever tell you about the time I shoplifted a frozen turkey out of a Piggly Wiggly wearing only a tube top and daisy dukes?" - [livejournal.com profile] vampiretheatre
8. "Yes, yes. Yes. Without the 'oops.'" - [livejournal.com profile] cyndisuesue
9. "Seize the fat one!" - [livejournal.com profile] dmbtuxwaddle

Aw fail I don't think I know any of them. Seven and ten sound really familiar. I'll keep pondering.

#1 is Clue! And I recognize #6 too, but couldn't tell you from where. Oh well!

[identity profile] brightcupenny.livejournal.com 2008-02-26 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! "And there are two dead bodies in the study!!!" "SHHHHHHHHH!"

[identity profile] hollywdliz.livejournal.com 2008-02-26 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
2. Dammit, I know I know this one! But I can't quite remember. I think it's "Clueless." That's the only DVD on my shelf that sparked a memory.
4. "10 Things I Hate About You." Hee. "But I love MY Skechers." "That's because you don't HAVE a Prada backpack." "Ohhh."
6. "The Cutting Edge"! Best movie EVAR.

"I know you can be overwhelmed, and I know you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever be just whelmed?"

"I think you can in Europe."

Mwa ha ha ha ha! 10 Things tops the list as most watched movie of my old Bible Study group. We all loved it, and all for entirely different reasons.

3 for 3! You're good.

"What a tragic commentary on our times." There are *so* many amazing quotes in that movie.

"What *is* this, final stages of Ukrainian alcohol psychosis?"

LION KIIIIING IT'S LION KING. Ten, I mean. That was driving me nuts. I kept thinking, "It seems like it was a cartoon...but it's like, a British voice...and I just can't picture the face..." and then suddenly right before bed it came to me. *sighs happily*

I'm not 100% sure that it's right, but it's close enough for relief. XD

[identity profile] brightcupenny.livejournal.com 2008-02-26 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's right! Hooray!
