Hurray! Woohoo! Excellent! It doesn't make up for Kris and Jon losing, but at least the right people won this time. Now if only their first choice had been adopting one of those orphans, that would've made everything perfect.

I'm unclear on whether U&J insisted on paying the driver in full because it's a rule or because it was the honorable thing to do. I'm sure TWoP could tell me, but I don't particularly feel like wandering over there.

And how much do we love the Brothers' 70s porn-star facial hair? Oh yeah. *giggitygiggitygig*

Yeah - I was wondering if it was a rule as well (about paying the cab drivers). Because I'm thinking you tell the cabbie that you're at the finish line of a million dollar race and as soon as you finish, you'll beg or borrow the cash to pay him with. Give him the ring as collateral or something. Promise a huge tip. Invite him to watch you cross the finish line. It just seems that there was something else they could have done to speed things up...

Problem is, you can't. The rules apparently prohibit you from saying anything about the competition except "we're in a race." No word about what the prize is.

Although I bet they probably could have run up to the finish line and told Lynn and Alex that they needed 20 bucks to pay their cab driver or Rob and Amber would win -- they'd have been set within moments. :-)

LOL!! That is EXACTLY what I said. Forget begging on the street - go straight to the Presidents of the Anti-Romber Fan Club!

Oh, that's weird, I hadn't realized that. I definitely remember someone telling an airline worker "You just cost me a million bucks" or something to that effect.

Yeah, they totally should've gone to Lynn and Alex! LOL!

That was Jonathan, I believe. I think when they were in Germany?

But I just watched it, and must join in your glee. Yay!
