sirrogue and I love The Amazing Race. It's the only reality show we'll willingly watch, cause it's awesome, and Phil kicks all kinds of ass. But we only started on TAR6, and then we caught TAR4 in reruns. We just started netflixing the very first season. It's fascinating, how different some things were, and they really hadn't got the hang of the editing thing yet. More narration now = more Phil = all to the good.
What I find really interesting, though, is that I remember during TAR7 people were bitching nonstop about Boston Rob and how he was introducing a "new" level of backstabbing and Survivor-esque manipulating, and people were longing for "the good old days." But we've now had six episodes of Team Guido, and
oh my God. Rob was practically a saint compared to these guys! I mean, deliberately causing a scene at customs to try and keep other teams from making their flight? And then lying about it later? God, at least Rob admitted he was playing people! *misses Boston Rob* (Hey, he had the sense to know he didn't want to eat five pounds of nasty meat!)
Er, and I don't actually know who wins this one, so don't spoil me, please?
