PSA for all my SDCC peeps:

SDCC is doing a new thing this year where you can pre-pay and pre-reserve your parking each day in selected lots. It's $10/day for the close lots, plus a $2.92 processing fee. Both the Convention Center itself and the Hilton garage are still available the last time I checked. Here is the link: http://www.thepermitstore.com/comic-con/event/

Hell yes we're doing this-- at least for Saturday. I consider it well worth the $3 extra to have peace of mind that we'll have a close parking spot, *and* you don't have to get there ridic early in the morning to score a space. Lesley checked with SDCC people and you are *guaranteed* a space in the lot you have pre-paid for.

Well, I've been pretty thoroughly beaten to the punch on posting this-- I can't access LJ, Facebook, or YouTube at work-- so please forgive me if this is the billionth time this has shown up on your flist today. But I have the video for our Comic-Con skit!

I give to you-- Bring It On: Rock the Mouse!

Whew.

ETA: Full Cast List )

A year and a half of planning for two and a half minutes on stage? Crazy, but true. Plus, more pictures of our costumes. )

The Comic-Con programming schedule is starting to be posted (they've got an awesome search/filter feature this year) and EEEEEE. My Friday is looking *ridiculous* and that's not even taking into account the SW stuff if I have to work for Mary that day. Pretty much, if left to my own devices, I would sit in B20 all day, because they moved most of the big TV panels there (instead of 6CDEF, so hopefully there won't be too much line-standing involved, THANK YOU Comic-Con!) and there is BONES and BIG BANG THEORY and other stuff I don't mind sitting through to get to them!!! And of course Aaron's FOTJ panel is sandwiched right between Big Bang Theory and Bones, argh! Well, I haven't read Omen yet and probably won't have time before con, so maybe it's for the best.

Also there is a GLEE panel and screening on Saturday! (!!!!!!!!!!) And a Dr. Horrible/Commentary screening on Thursday night! (It does not say if the audience is allowed to sing too...)

But there is no Castle. Why no Castle panel, Comic-Con? WE WANTS IT.

ETA: Okay, I was just looking at the room maps, and did they flip the orientation of B20 around or am I just crazy? I swear the stage is on the opposite side.

Okay, apparently I did get this done tonight! I had a fantastic Comic-Con this year. For one, my dad [livejournal.com profile] qui_gon_d and my brother [livejournal.com profile] dmbtuxwaddle came to stay with us and go to the con from Wednesday through Saturday. And they costumed! Pictorial evidence is in the report. :) For another, even though it was crowded (and oh, was it ever crowded), I got into almost everything I wanted to see and wasn't really disappointed by any of it, and the volunteers/staff generally did a good job of packing the rooms as full as possible. Line management could still be better, but it's improving every year.

Fair warning, this is REALLY LONG. And really detailed. On we go!

Wednesday: Preview Night! )

Thursday: Sith Cheerleaders, Dr. Jones and his son, Sarah Connor Chronicles, and asking questions at panels (or, OMG BEAR MCCREARY ILU) )

Next up: Friday, or EPIC AVATAR PANEL IS EPIC.
