Hey guys, I need a little help here. This is for anyone who's seen either of the Star Wars: Musical Edition DVDs (2003 or Trilogy version)-- what moments or clips from the DVDs do you think would best represent the show to someone who never saw it live? A dialogue, a song, a dance, an effect, a costume, a set piece, a prop, whatever snippets you think encapsulate the show. (This is DVD-specific-- unfortunately a lot of great stuff that was seen onstage never made it to the DVD, like Luke's falling hand in the Bespin duel, or the vast majority of the Sarlacc battle. So you don't have to have seen the show live to answer!)

A zillion thanks for any suggestions y'all can give!

Back when we first got to Boston, I was keeping a list of all the funny, weird, or otherwise memorable things that people said, like Alice had done for C3. I stopped after a few weeks, because I was too damn tired, but I still have the ones I wrote down, and I *finally* got them typed up to put here, which was what I'd intended all along.

Oh, and the icon has nothing to do with anything, really; I just thought it was awesome. CHUCK NORRIS, bitches. There's a whole bunch more here.

All right, fine, if I have to have insomnia, I can at least be productive. I want to make another set of Star Wars: Musical Edition icons, with quotes from this fall's production. Except I didn't keep track at all like I meant to, so my list right now is really short.

So! SWaTME peeps, I need your help. Give me quotes you want to see on icons. Here's what I have so far:

(possibly "At LAAAAAAAST, the shield is down!")
"I'm not left-handed!" "You are now."
"Ew! She kissed me!"
"Ew! I kissed you!"
And if there's any way to represent the POTC theme in written form, that would be so awesome. But "Duh-duh-DUH-duh duh-duh-DUH-duh" really doesn't translate.

(Dude, if Janet were on LJ I would so make her her very own special "stormtrooper number slow" icon.)

The show is over. I'm no longer sick. I have free time again. Everything should be going swimmingly.

...except now I can't sleep. It's been almost a week now, and it's getting old. It's so strange-- as if my body just got used to the constant exhaustion, and now that I'm not dead-tired when I go to bed, my brain thinks, "What are you doing? You have hours still that you could be awake!" And I wake up tired, and I'm sleepy periodically through the day, but come midnight I'm bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I've Tylenol-PMed myself asleep the last few nights, because I *had* to get some sleep, but I can't and won't keep doing that. I guess I just somehow need to-- readjust.

For now, I'll try folding the laundry and doing the dishes and then seeing how I feel. Arg.

Ouch, we got ripped apart in the Brandeis school paper. Well, any publicity, right? Especially since the Tech has their stupid vendetta going and won't review us.

On the plus side, Club Jade came tonight, and it was awesome. It was just amazing that so many people came from so far away to see us. I love you ALL! Also my mom and brother came, yay! And Thanksgiving is soon so I get to see them again.

One more show, and then it's all over! I wonder what it will be like to have free time again.

Dude, even in my *dreams* I can't get away from this show. First I dreamed that Allison and I became stepsisters (WTF?) and became the subjects of a reality TV show about blended families (no, really, WTF?). Then I had a completely separate dream where ML and I were going to a spa because she was all stressed about the show and the fact that Jax wanted to have Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett sell cotton candy at intermission. Why is my brain only this creative when I'm asleep?

And I completely crashed at 9:30 pm, only to wake up fully rested at 2 am. Probably a consequence of my weird-ass sleeping schedule of late. (But 14 hours of sleep on Saturday felt SO GOOD!) I have work tomorrow though, so I should probably try to get back to sleep. Clearly the solution is to read fanfic until I'm exhausted.

As for the show-- yeah, it's pretty good. I'm proud of us. I just want to take care of some fiddly costume bits that I didn't get a chance to fix before opening, and then I'll be unreservedly proud of us.

Now would be a really great time to get some mp3s up on the website, wouldn't you think? Alas.

I should get back to fighting with the airbrush. If I press the button, it sprays air, but not paint, and the instructions that came with the airbrush are worthless. Hopefully I can figure something out.

I know I've really dropped off the radar lately, for which I apologize. Between work and the show, though, I have no life and even less internet time. I'm just about able to at least read my friendslist, even if I don't comment. Right now, my life is basically wake up, go to work, then either go to Kimmerie's to babysit or to the office to sew, go to rehearsal, go home, sleep for a few hours, do it all over again. I'm so far behind on my few TV shows, it's not even funny. I'm not even really complaining-- I'm so happy to be doing this show again-- it's just it makes for a really tiring existence.

Anyway, if you're wondering why you haven't heard from me, that's why. Nothing personal, it's just I don't have any time.

spccadet was asking for the SWME icons I made a few months ago-- they're here, and free for the taking to anyone who wants them. If I ever get a spare hour or two (HA!) I want to make a few new ones with the quotes that have surfaced so far. ("Some action." "It's a TWAAAAAAP!")

Bed now. I got a nap this afternoon-- carbon_scoring and I meant to go fabric shopping, but we fell asleep instead-- but I'm still really tired.
