So, er, I got an email today from the official savefarscape.com announcement list, which is very low-traffic and usually is reserved for telling us about a new major project or fundraiser. But this email...well...it was announcing some group chat or other, and it advised us thusly:

Oh also, new icon. Multiple new icons actually, from this great post. My fall to the SG-1 side is now complete.

Okay, I'm trying to be a good girl and not read spoilers, but I've been gobbling up S9 promo images like crazy. Gateworld put up some particularly yummy Ben Browder ones the other day: ( why hello Mr. Browder's arms, and how are you today? )

So, still pretty much looking like Crichton, but with dogtags and a distressing lack of leather.

I'm rather worried that S9 is going to...well, for lack of a better word, suck, but as long as there's a Ben or a Claudia on my screen I'll keep watching, because I am so very excited about seeing them acting again. (I refer you back to my earlier remarks about cliffs and the following-off thereof.)

Also, I hope they don't make Michael Shanks keep the scruff the whole time. I mean, I understand they don't want us confusing MS and BB (I can't even type that with a straight face, I always giggle at the memory), but we aren't that dumb, and the scruff ain't that attractive. He also appears to be wearing his hair longer, which I hope does not continue. (Never again with Sam and Daniel having the same haircut!)

Oh dear. I seem to have converted into a full-fledged SG1 fan when I wasn't looking. I guess I should go get an icon now. (ETA: Well, that was easy. And also fun. It's two, two, two fandoms in one!)

naeara has posted some SG1 S9 spoiler pics here. Claudia and Ben, sooooo pretty. Michael Shanks, sooooo stubbly. Now I must have more! More more more pics! (I like the site she links to cause it's in German, so I can see the pictures without reading the plot.)

Goddammit. Now I need an SG1 icon.

I promise, I'm working on the rest of my C3 report. (Yeah, I know, you're all waiting with bated breath.) But in the meantime:

- I'm selling my Tatooine midriff dress on Ebay.

- We watched the SG1 episode "Window of Opportunity" on Monday and it was hi-larious. I get the feeling that's probably as zany as SG1 ever gets, though, and it was about the zaniness level of a regular Farscape episode.

- Also on Monday, yav_14 was visiting! She and I watched Dan, Rogue, and Debby play on Dan's softball team. It was very entertaining. Then she paid for dinner, but gave us a big bag of minicon stuff to take to Vegas for her. How like a Darksider! *g*

- I really really really want to go soak in a hot tub right now. Owwwwwww.
