Okay, I'm trying to be a good girl and not read spoilers, but I've been gobbling up S9 promo images like crazy. Gateworld put up some particularly yummy Ben Browder ones the other day:

I'm rather worried that S9 is going to...well, for lack of a better word, suck, but as long as there's a Ben or a Claudia on my screen I'll keep watching, because I am so very excited about seeing them acting again. (I refer you back to my earlier remarks about cliffs and the following-off thereof.)

Also, I hope they don't make Michael Shanks keep the scruff the whole time. I mean, I understand they don't want us confusing MS and BB (I can't even type that with a straight face, I always giggle at the memory), but we aren't that dumb, and the scruff ain't that attractive. He also appears to be wearing his hair longer, which I hope does not continue. (Never again with Sam and Daniel having the same haircut!)

Oh dear. I seem to have converted into a full-fledged SG1 fan when I wasn't looking. I guess I should go get an icon now. (ETA: Well, that was easy. And also fun. It's two, two, two fandoms in one!)

Wow, I suppose if they lost Mr. "MacGuyver",they have gained Mr. Crichton, I am eagerly awaiting the episodes. Does anyone know how they got both him and Claudia Black as a team in the new show?

Well, they actually had Claudia first; she guest-starred in an episode last season and the show totally loved her. Then they got Ben as a regular, and then they invited Claudia back as a recurring character. At least I think that's the sequence. What's funny is I bet their characters will have hardly anything to do with each other. But it should be fun anyway!

I as SO happy I SHOULD be moved into the new place, with cable in time for the premiere of Season 9!!

Yeah um...I didn't realize how odd it would be at first, but now having watched a LOT of SG1 reruns it's weirding me out. I guess S8 was sort of a transition, though.

Mmmmmyes. Hopefully the first few episodes will have a little bit of introductory material in them, for the new fans who've started watching for Ben and Claudia. (Ben, incidentally, will be a regular, but Claudia is just recurring.)

Welcome to the SG side, my dear. ::evil laughter::

Although this feels decidedly... strange. I've been avoiding SG stuff in general lately - partly because I opted to go pretty much 99% spoiler free for S9, and partly because I'm just so wrapped up in my Star Wars fandom right now. So I haven't exactly been looking at photos. And while I knew about Danny's scruff, I hadn't a clue that his hair was looking longer. The scruff doesn't bother me but I will be majorly disappointed if he lets the hair get too long. It is simply way too sexy when it's all nicely cropped at the neck. (Season 4 was probably the best for this!)

And can I just confess that one outfit (the tan one) on Claudia's character has me worried? Personally, I'm hoping they don't go too much for the sexual-tension angle. While I really loved her character in the S8 episode, I wasn't all that thrilled (or convinced) about any genuine sexual tension between Vala and Daniel. Hmmm... we shall see.
