When your show puts your OTP ON A PLANE for an episode.

I feel that this has yet to result in a non-stellar hour of television:
"Airborne"
"The Passenger in the Oven"
and now "Jet Lag"

ETA: HOLY SHIT I NEED CASTLE AND BECKETT ON A PLANE. I NEED THIS YESTERDAY.

So, I just saw the Bones preview for next week.

I've been on a serious NCIS kick lately (thanks, USA reruns). I mean. The characters explicitly refer to the team as a family. And Abby goes around hugging everyone all the time. I'm constitutionally incapable of resisting a show like that.

Which is all to say, FIC REC:
Agent Afloat Atlantis
It's Ziva. On Atlantis. It's awesome. Basically it spins off the end of S5 of NCIS, only instead of getting sent back to Israel, Ziva's assigned to Atlantis and ends up smack in the middle of S5 of SGA. (And let me tell you internets, *that* I would have watched.)

And because I read *way* too much fic, when I started reading AAA, I was like, "Oh awesome! She can meet up with Yoni!" And then I remembered, that's not canon, that's miss_porcupine's fic. Which arguably is better than canon in many ways, but still. (Seriously, she does the best military SGA fic out there. Try her novelization of The Rising (the SGA premiere), and then when you have some time and feel like being punched in the gut, read The Jenny Code. And there are a million more stories too.)

Also there are not enough NCIS/Bones crossovers on the intertubes. I found one but doesn't it seem like there should be more? Like the NCIS people find a body, only oh no, it's only a skeleton by now, so they have to call the Jeffersonian and of course then Booth demands to get involved and there is more NCIS/FBI fun stuff and Abby and Hodgins would totally geek out about bugs or something.

Also also, you know what would be the most amazing crossover ever? Bones and Castle. Because you know Brennan's aware of Castle, and she thinks he's a talentless hack who has no real understanding of forensic science, and I bet they once met at some conference or event and he totally hit on her and she was like EW, GO AWAY PLEASE, and then Beckett and Booth would be over in the corner rolling their eyes and trading war stories about the ridiculous situations their civilian partners have gotten them into.

And after that, I want a Castle/Dresden Files crossover. And a pony.

Moving on to cons that actually happened *this* year, here's the first three days of San Diego Comic-Con 2009 in excruciating detail.

The Comic-Con programming schedule is starting to be posted (they've got an awesome search/filter feature this year) and EEEEEE. My Friday is looking *ridiculous* and that's not even taking into account the SW stuff if I have to work for Mary that day. Pretty much, if left to my own devices, I would sit in B20 all day, because they moved most of the big TV panels there (instead of 6CDEF, so hopefully there won't be too much line-standing involved, THANK YOU Comic-Con!) and there is BONES and BIG BANG THEORY and other stuff I don't mind sitting through to get to them!!! And of course Aaron's FOTJ panel is sandwiched right between Big Bang Theory and Bones, argh! Well, I haven't read Omen yet and probably won't have time before con, so maybe it's for the best.

Also there is a GLEE panel and screening on Saturday! (!!!!!!!!!!) And a Dr. Horrible/Commentary screening on Thursday night! (It does not say if the audience is allowed to sing too...)

But there is no Castle. Why no Castle panel, Comic-Con? WE WANTS IT.

ETA: Okay, I was just looking at the room maps, and did they flip the orientation of B20 around or am I just crazy? I swear the stage is on the opposite side.

Today we have Bones, with Supernatural along for the ride (I don't watch it, but fandom_wank has taught me enough that I can follow along). So here are three loosely-related fics that cracked me the hell up:

This one makes a lot more sense if you read f_w. Delicious, delicious meta response to the whole SPN PTB poking their fanbase with sharp sticks thing, and a sequel to omg otp!!1! Made me burst out laughing repeatedly.

OH MY GRACIOUS, we are finally caught up on Bones and we watched the last two episodes in real time (more or less) and I am still just STAGGERED by how much I love this show and everyone in it. It makes me want to jump up and down and hug someone and make squeaky noises.

( spoilers for tonight's ep, 'Mayhem on a Cross' )

What I really really need is an animated icon from that one ep where they go to pottery class with Sweets and his gf, and Booth is like, "Look at my horse! Tuk-tuk, tuk-tuk, tuk-tuk" and he makes the little clay horse gallop. Rogue swears he's seen one but the Internets are not yielding to my demands. The skating icon is awesome though too, obvs. (I love that this season's episodes are all, The One Where They Go Skating! The One Where They're Stuck on a Plane! The One Where They Join the Circus! The One Where They Go to a Con!)

Baby Donut is finally here, and I am going to celebrate! How, you ask? Why, with a metric ton of babyfic recs, of course. How else?

...I think Mr. Murty is stalking me. He was in my NCIS rerun at the gym today and he just showed up in the Bones episode we're watching (middle of season 3! woohoo!). I will be non-shocked if he turns out to the the murderer in this one. :P Oh, late 1990s General Hospital, I miss you.
