Okay, so. I don't have a problem with playing the game. I loved Boston Rob, man. But if you're going to play the game, you own up to it. You don't whine to Phil with phoniness about "they're playing mind games, and we don't do that." Bullshit, Mo of MoJo. "Wah wah wah, they Yielded us." Oh, and you wouldn't have done the same if you'd got there before the hippies did? Pleeeease.

I'm really wondering right now about the editing re: the eventual winner. They're really villainizing MoJo right now, and next week's previews look rather grim for Monica at least, so does that mean they aren't the winners? Are they setting them up as the root-against team now that Lake is gone, so people will feel validated when they don't win? Looking back over season 6, I think they started to try and humanize Kendra toward the end, so people wouldn't be so annoyed when she and Freddy eventually won. That's kind of what's happening with Ray and Yolanda right now-- emphasizing how much they've learned and how much better they're working together now vs earlier in the show. The other two teams are getting pretty much the same coverage they've always gotten. I'm really fascinated by the editing process behind these stories, especially after hearing the take of the SW mom who was on Trading Spouses.

At the moment I'm kind of annoyed with everyone except Ray and Yolanda, who picked a fantastic time to finally start navigating properly. Also, we finally watched last week's episode, and Yolanda's "Yeah! I'm a badass bitch!" cracked us up for a good five minutes. (Close behind was "oh no! my peg leg!" from the hippies this week.)

And finally, BJ! No shoes!? *shakes head*

I hate Mojo! Mo's incessant whining was making me insane. "It's not fair, we were here first", AH, shut the hell up.

I love the hippies. Ray and Yolanda I like, but I've always felt indifferent toward them. Still, I'd rather have the hippies win and if not, then Ray and Yolanda. If either of the other 2 win, I'll throw things at the tv.

That's pretty much how I feel. Hippies first, Ray and Yo second. The fratboys are eh, but they're very good racers so I can't feel too bad if they eventually do win. But just say NO to MoJo!

What did the SW Mom say about Trading Spouses?

Yeah, I find the editing process on these reality shows very interesting. I have a bunch of friends who watch Survivor, and we have "Survivor lunch" to discuss it - and half the time it ends up that we talk about the editing and try to figure out if they are trying to make us think a certain thing through the editing or if the person is really that way. Once you know who wins, you can often go back and say - ok, they totally project this here - or specifically included this bit here, etc. They like creating their villans - and as you say about Freddy/Kendra - want to make you like the winners.

It's a fun game to try and predict the winners on these shows simply by the editing!

Oh, pretty much the stuff you'd expect-- they invented a lot of stuff through creative editing, took stuff out of context, only showed the bad and not the good, etc.

I really try to reality-check myself as I watch TAR-- do I like a certain team for real, or because the show is manipulating me? What aren't they showing us? Verrrry interesting. I have to say, though, I just don't see MoJo winning, not with the show demonizing them like this.
