even your car can pre-reg for comic-con

PSA for all my SDCC peeps:

SDCC is doing a new thing this year where you can pre-pay and pre-reserve your parking each day in selected lots. It's $10/day for the close lots, plus a $2.92 processing fee. Both the Convention Center itself and the Hilton garage are still available the last time I checked. Here is the link: http://www.thepermitstore.com/comic-con/event/

Hell yes we're doing this-- at least for Saturday. I consider it well worth the $3 extra to have peace of mind that we'll have a close parking spot, *and* you don't have to get there ridic early in the morning to score a space. Lesley checked with SDCC people and you are *guaranteed* a space in the lot you have pre-paid for.

I still find it hard to believe they are doing this, but will certainly take advantage of it. The peace of mind of not having to race down there every morning to try and get in one of the close garages will be wonderful!

But our group is shuttle bus-ing or walking the whole time. Hell, we're already paying enough to park our car at our hotel for 4 days. LOL.

Yeah, if you're already in a hotel it's not so great a deal. ;-) For us locals who stay at home though, it's a godsend!
