vote for me if you want to live

Having fallen *hard* for the Sarah Connor Chronicles (I, er, might have a slight Derek Reese problem. I blame [livejournal.com profile] morwen_peredhil), [livejournal.com profile] sirrogue decided it was high time I actually watched Terminator 2, since I'd never actually seen any of the movies before. So I did.

And here is my reaction:

T2 is one of my fave movies ever. I have problably seen it more times than any other single movie. I practically have it memorized.

Hee! Also, OMG, you had never seen T2 before? o_O

Watch T1 next. It's eightiestastic (especially the soundtrack and Linda Hamilton's ENORMOUS hair), but I love it anyway. The special effects don't seem so special now, but the chase at the ending still freaks me out more than any other movie moment. Plus you'll get to see Sarah and Kyle's two days together.

T3, well, the only really good things about T3 are Kate Brewster (John's future wife in that timeline), the special effects, and the ending. Still, you should watch it, despite the inexplicable casting of the unattractive, uncharismatic Nick Stahl as John Connor.

T4 (and the two after that — Christian Bale is signed to play John Connor in three movies) is a continuation of the T3 storyline. SCC is an alternate timeline that branches off after T2.

Wow,girlfriend! Never saw T2? Can't hardly believe it.
