I just read this awesome-- I don't even know what to call it! It's like a MST3K parody of a crazy Harmonian* post, but done in the style of "The Word" from the Colbert Report. FUNNY!

I don't need past events or actions to tell me why characters behave the way they do. I don't live in the past. I believe in the here and now, in the moment. When Harry and Hermione fly across the sky on a hippogriff, I don't need the text to know that deep down, Harry knows that soaring feeling is from finding his soul mate, and Hermione’s emotions are running along similar lines.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

* "Harmonians" refers to the psycho subset of Harry/Hermione shippers who are flat-out convinced that the last few books are all dirty lies and misinformation, and JKR will show her true colors in Book 7 and get rid of that slutwhoretramp Ginny, so Harry can be with his True Ideal Romantic Love, Hermione. Yes, really.

Not in the Harry Potter fandom, but when the last book came out I witnessed The Crazy perforce (along with everyone else who reads metaquotes. So your icon makes me cackle with much mad glee.

You know what I trust? I trust toast. You know why? Because celebrities don't eat it. Celebrities from Liberal Hollywood, our modern Sodom and Gomorrah. That despicable town glorifies relationships such as Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, relationships based on nothing but sex and violence.

WTF???? Did she even read the same books I read? Sex and violence? Because of a little snogging? And that's not even getting into the whole toast thing, 'cause, HUH?

Er, sorry, I guess my explanation was a little misleading. In the specific comment I linked to, only the first italicized bit is part of the actual Harmonian post. The rest is Colbert-style parody, done by the commenter (nlb_muffin). The post the comment was made to, though, is 100% pure Harmonian crazy.

I can't wait 'til 7 is out and there's nothing left for them to hold out for. 'Cause seriously. Not. Gonna. Happen. (in canon). If they wanna get 'em together in fanfic, more power to 'em, but if they really think it's gonna happen in canon... ::shakes head::
