jaina: (bsg - lee's new mommy)

bsg, I have no idea what episode or title...

So, Friday's BSG.

I am not terribly cool with ANDERS SHOOTING GAETA IN THE GODDAMN KNEE. WHAT THE FUCK, ANDERS. (Also, show, I never EVER needed to see that on my screen. Gross.) And then they're like "Oh, we could just take a Raptor and leave you guys here" and MAYBE YOU COULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE, HUH!? And then Gaeta wouldn't've got shot in the FUCKING KNEE.

Baltar = bored now. Shut uuuuuuuuuup.

We tooootally did not recognize Nana Vistor at first, and finally [livejournal.com profile] sirrogue was like "That sounds like Kira" and we kept squinting at her until we finally decided that yes, it was her.

MOM AND DAD YAY. Not enough, but I'll take what I can get. MOAR MOM AND DAD PLZ RDM.

And uh...yeah.

The Avatar obsession is growing exponentially. I am beginning to worry a little. Note to self: you do not have to read bad fanfic just because it's there. It's okay to close the window and walk away.
ETA2 that inexplicably comes before ETA: Holy crap, I just busted a gut laughing at this condensed version of "Jet." "If we weren't TV-Y7, this'd totally be a cigarette."

ETA: How did I not hear that Brian Austin Green will be a regular on SCC next season!? YAY OMG DEREK OMG YAY. SHOW US YOUR CRAZY EYES, BAG.

Anders is losing it, right along with the other final fivers. I loved when NatalieSix and Starbuck decided "so that means the final five could lead us to earth" and Anders had this "um, not so much" look on his face.

[identity profile] jfk06.livejournal.com 2008-05-13 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
I agree -- I think that look on Anders' face was my favorite moment of the episode ;-)

And I second the kneecap -- eeewwwww. I'm not a fan of how much blood we're seeing this season. I much prefer space battles where things just blow up.

[identity profile] brightcupenny.livejournal.com 2008-05-13 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
The kneecap was about sixteen levels of grossness. Euuuurgh. Dear BSG: Less blood, more lovin'!

[identity profile] brightcupenny.livejournal.com 2008-05-13 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
That was completely loltastic. "The Final Five will lead us to Earth!" and Anders is like "um, whut?"

[identity profile] knitress.livejournal.com 2008-05-13 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they are all in for one big surprise. But really Anders is coping better than most of them. Tori is turning into her own little Hitler, Tyrol is becoming a bald mad mystic, and Tigh is just so tightly wound he's gonna explode.

OMG, I loved that! I thought (in fact, said) the same thing as we watched it.

TV as Starbuck: "So that means the final five could lead us to earth."

Me as Anders: "Uh, I don't know how to get there..."

Oh man, I totally know what you mean about Avatar. I just had to take a big step back because there are finale spoilers floating around, thanks to the children's book on the finale coming out a couple days ago. Avatar, please stop trying to suck my soul into your fandom, plzkthx?

[identity profile] brightcupenny.livejournal.com 2008-05-13 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, it's *bad.* Like serious obsession level bad. And it completely sucks because I now have to avoid all the communities and other fannish places for fear of spoilers! Oh second thought, maybe that's actually a good thing.

GOD. This show is so GOOD. I need to watch it all over again from the beginning (even though first season is really kind of eh, which is why it took me so long to get into it).

[identity profile] hlynn.livejournal.com 2008-05-13 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Similar thing happened to me. I started watching the first few episodes back when it first aired, thought "Hey, this isn't bad for a kids' show," but it didn't hook me in and I promptly forgot about it. Then a few months ago, I saw the ads for the third season and thought, "OMG, this got seriously dark. I have to know what happened to make it this way", and watched a couple of the later episodes. And I started kicking myself because holy crap, it was good. Then I devoured the rest of the show online.

There is one place on LJ you can go--[livejournal.com profile] atla_unspoiled. I haven't joined yet, but I plan to in case the withdrawal is too much.

I've been hanging out on [livejournal.com profile] capslock_atla-- yeah, I know, but it makes me laugh. Hard. And they're being pretty good about no spoilers (there was a big post on it).

I don't know if it's good or bad that I came to the show so late! I mean on the one hand, I've missed out on the fandom and the anticipation of new eps and everything. But on the other hand, I haven't had to wait EIGHT MILLION YEARS for new eps. I don't know how the hell I'll last till July, especially without getting spoiled (and I DO NOT WANT to be spoiled, because I care too much).
