utter exhaustion, physical and emotional. slightly less than 24 hours: up at 7:45 am, get truck, fetch furniture, babysit, pack truck, closing night, strike, cast party, goodbyes. At strike I was explaining about running into Katie (cousin) on the T, which only happened this afternoon but feels like it could have been last week for all the time that's gone by.

I've never been so upset at a leavetaking before. Yes, I'm excited about moving, about a new place and a great apartment and better weather, but-- I belong here. I fit. These people have been my home, my support, my family for four years, and suddenly it's all just-- gone. Of course there will be visits and chats and Evil Plans and all of that. I know that. But I also know how well I've managed to keep in touch with my high school friends (ie, not at all) and I worry I'll fall into that again. Different this time though, I think. I hope.
