ETA: Help me pick a Firefly email address! Since I won a prize in the Browncoats charity raffle (Ipod shuffle WOOHOO!) I also get a custom email address. Domains I can choose from are:

* yourname@SpecialHell.com
* yourname@AimToMisbehave.com
* yourname@JossIsBoss.com
* yourname@Gorramit.com
* yourname@HandsOfBlue.com
* yourname@Sihnon.com
* yourname@NoSoundInSpace.com

Any brilliant suggestions? Or should I just take caitlin@whichever?

I still haven't written my con report, but I figured people might like to see some pictures. Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] kelbebop has been linking to pictures of our Firefly Masquerade group as she finds them (that's [livejournal.com profile] sirrogue as Mal, me as Shindig Kaylee, [livejournal.com profile] scendan as Mechanic Kaylee, [livejournal.com profile] kelbebop as Zoe, [livejournal.com profile] _oy_ as Simon, and...any others with LJs?):

That was Saturday night. I wore the dress on Sunday as well (when I got the pic with Joss), and actually remembered to have people take pictures of me with my *own* camera:

Saturday day I was wearing my Zoe, but all the pictures I've seen of me are really assy so you don't get any. (I was wearing my glasses-- total no-no, but after so little sleep I couldn't face putting my contacts in.)

Friday I wore my Leia Senatorial with GINORMOUS HAIRBUNS. [livejournal.com profile] carbon_scoring kept saying how most people make them too small...so I erred on the side of HUGE. What I ended up doing was buying dark brown fake hair and a colored hairspray that matched, rather than trying to match my own hair (difficult with the limited selection at Sally Beauty). So I made the hairbuns separately by loosely twisting the hair and sewing it in a spiral, putting a hairnet over the whole thing, and sewing combs on the inside. Then I parted my hair down the middle, pin-curled my stubby pigtails down flat, sprayed my whole head with the brown hairspray, and then hooked each hairbun in above the pincurls, bobby-pinning the edges down. Worked really well, at least in person. In photos the color difference is more pronounced. But I think I'll make the buns a bit smaller for next time. Pictures, courtesy of Paul Ens:

And Thursday was my Sith Cheerleader. The only picture I have is the one Bonnie took:

And then Wednesday night I was in civvies. Well, I was wearing my Star Wars: Musical Edition T-shirt, but it wasn't a costume.
