jaina: (league of shadows dance training)
Awww, it was the last night with our SYTYCD couples. Next week they'll be all broken up, which is happy and sad, I guess.

Chelsie and Mark- Meh on their first dance. I think the music choice was unfortunate. But the Broadway? YOWZA. I am going to miss this pairing so, so badly. I hope they both stay on the show for a long time so we can see them dance together again! Mark is somehow getting hotter every week. I have no idea how he's doing it, but I'm not complaining.

Twitchington-- The juggernaut rumbles along. I'll be very happy to see them dance with other people; I think Kherrington (that NAME!) was really, really lucky to get paired with Twitch. The judges have been really easy on her. There was a really unfortunate moment in their tango (what a waste of great music!) where there was a closeup of her face, and she just looked...blank. I have no idea what her personality is, other than that she smiles a lot and apparently has flawless skin. Or really good makeup.

Comfort and Thayne-- Are so gone. Unless Will/Jess wind up in Bottom 3, and the judges give Comfort yet another shot (but I don't think they will). No chemistry, and Comfort is just not progressing technically.

Courtney and Gev-- My other favorites! I voted for them a ton tonight, because they're adorable and they have tremendous chemistry and they have fun onstage and I'm incredibly impressed with the way Gev picks up new dance styles. (Also, HI PASHA AND ANYA!!!) And they dressed Gev like Indiana Jones! Oh costume people, you know how to make me smile.

Will and Jessica-- Are just not a good match. I don't know what it is; whether Jessica is just a level below him, or if Will doesn't partner well, or what the reason is, but they have just never connected, and it shows in their dancing. It was especially obvious in the Garden of Eden thingie; there's no smoothness, no confidence that the other person will be there to catch them or hold them.

Katee and Joshua-- Rocked the house tonight. Bollywoooooood! I liked Joshua to start with, and Katee's winning me over, slowly but surely. She truly is an amazing dancer. She was so graceful in the waltz, it was just fantastic to watch her.

Mia Michaels-- GO AWAY. Stick to choreography and leave your nasty, non-constructive judging self out of it.
