Fanboys, fanboys, whatcha gonna do?
Apr. 22nd, 2002 03:52 amIt's nearly four, and I should be in bed. But instead, I'm arguing with fanboys at sw.com, defending Rebel Dream's continuity. It never fails to amaze me how ridiculously nitpicky they can get-- you get comments like "Well, it was a fantastic book, but I found THREE continuity errors and that is unacceptable!" That's not verbatim, but it was the gist. Thankfully two other people had already explained why two of the three "errors" were actually fine, and I dug out my old X-Wing books to disprove the third one. And I did. Ha.
Normally I'd completely ignore it, but this time it's my friends that they're nitpicking, and I know damn well they went over the continuity stuff with a fine-tooth comb. And so I spent 20 minutes flipping through Rogue Squadron and Wedge's Gamble to find one tiny little passage that implies that the Krytos virus WAS originally created on Borleias.
And now, I swear I'm going to bed.
