Dan's Will Turner costume is fiiiiiniiiished! Pictures here; kindly ignore the curly hobbit-hair in the pictures. It'll be slicked straight when he wears it tomorrow.
Meant to reply when you posted this-- but WOW!!! I am absolutely stunned. You've done a wonderful job!
We just need a Jack Sparrow!!!! I doubt we could talk Dave into dreadding the Hair... Wait a minute-- for next JadeCon-- Dan could go as Will, Rogue as Jack, and you and Blu could decide who'd be Elizabeth and who'd go as -argh!- the girl who is captain of the ship they stole!
Nope, not making more work for you or anything. ;)
Anyways- our thoughts are with you guys with the fires-- even if they are not right at your door, dealing with the stress and the smoke is tiring. We had wildfires in WV when I was in high school which were quite horrible for over a month. Luckily most of it was in rural areas and not a lot of structures were damaged.
We actually thought about making Rogue and Dan's friend Wayne into Jack Sparrow...he could pull it off well. But he hasn't seen POTC yet! We will make him though...oh yes, we will!
I'm planning on making myself Elizabeth's plum dress at some point, or else her desert-island chemise. Whatever I've got time for, what with the bazillion other things I have planned this year (like, say, my wedding dress).
Speaking of making costumes, I owe you a robe. :) Have you given any more thought to the kind of fabric you'd like?
nothing's wrong with hobbit hair...
