We were going to go to this bridal fair downtown today. We got there, stood in line for ~20 minutes, got to the box office, and saw that it was cash only. We had $2 off coupons, making it $16 for both of us. Between us we had about $15.25 in cash, since we'd assumed (since it was at a convention center) that they would be taking credit cards. The girl at the window looked at us blankly, offering no opinion on our predicament, until we left in disgust. So that was a bust. I was irrationally angry at the time, although I'm feeling much better now. There's another one in February. I guess we'll go to that one.

Since I wasn't going to get free cake at the bridal fair, I made chocolate cupcakes. They are very yummy. I also crock-potted a chicken (on freakish sale at Vons this week, at least the strike is good for something!). It was also very good.

I visited a county park yesterday to see if it would work for our wedding. It was actually very beautiful-- I liked it a lot. I took pictures: here. The pictures don't quite convey that the park is literally *right* at the foot of those mountains/hills. It's quite stunning.

Can I get up the energy to do some scrapbooking this evening? Perhaps...
