Somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 am last night (or today, rather), Debby and I were discussing Lost, and found a somewhat interesting parallel:
Sawyer pretends to have no conscience, but deep down he really does care (and he's just a sad little boy who lost his parents, awwwwwwwwwww). Kate, on the other hand, seems to pretend to have a conscience, but deep down she may be short one Jiminy Cricket. The Kate thing is mostly speculation, but from what we saw last week could well be true. Debby pointed out that Kate had to have done something pretty horrible for so many cops to be after her so quickly, and that her motives in convincing Sun to poison the water were likely purely selfish. Plus, her mother's reaction to her-- yikes.
This is the part where I wish Kate were played by someone with slightly more dramatic ability and depth. Like, oh, say...anyone else. :-P
Also, the hair-cutting scene? SO adorable!
