I'm sadder than I thought I would be at the prospect of not entering the Comic-Con Masquerade this year. Yeah, it's a huge commitment and a huge timesink, but it's SO much fun. I don't know what I'd do, though. I don't have a group, and no seriously-impressive-enough costumes to enter as a solo entry. As I was saying on
kelbebop's journal, Kaylee's fluffy dress could work if I finished it on time, but then I couldn't wear it till Sunday and I don't want to risk not being able to wear it for the Serenity panel. I dunno, if I found a Padme we could maybe do a mother/daughter entry, something about clothes or something? How Leia's clothes are so boring? I could wear my Leia senatorial. Eh, maybe I should just give up on it and enjoy my Saturday.
ETA: Crap. Now I'm *really* becoming enamored of the Leia-Padme skit idea. I could even use one of my evil abandoned Musical costume ideas. Bad Caitlin, bad!

Date: 2005-06-09 03:44 am (UTC)I think I probably did a fairly good job of getting over my stage fright this year too. It was so awful I was still shaking an hour later. Ugh. Last year
And I'll email soon-definitely a better idea-but the hip gore directions are a sort of footnote to step 6. Took me forever to find them on my last corset, I knew I had read them, but forgot what an illogical place they were in!
And I want you to know that dress made an appearance in a dream the other night. That hasn't happened with a dress *I've* made yet, so rather odd :)
