TNT is rerunning the first three episodes of Into the West today, and I've had it on in the background. You know what it reminds me of? Those Sweet Valley Saga books where they traced the long and proud lineage of the Wakefield family, where every generation had a pair of gorgeous blue-eyed blonde-haired (robotic) twins-- I was particularly fond of "Elisabeth" and "Jessamyn." Except Into the West has slightly more dismemberment and death, and no one's run away to join the circus yet. Keri Russell got kidnapped by Indians, though. That was pretty cool.

Icon!

I actually never owned any SV books. My best friend had them all, and I read hers.

I almost wish I were, but no (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0553292781/qid=1120546745/sr=8-2/ref=pd_bbs_ur_2/102-7238800-1696167?v=glance&s=books&n=507846). There's a few more, too. They were like romance novels for preteens.
