jainaChristmas has been absolutely lovely this year. We drove down to Maryland to spend a few fantastically relaxing days with my family, and it's been great. We introduced my parents to the joys of Apples to Apples. ;-) And oooh, I have eaten *so* well.
Loot-wise, our big present was new camera phones (to replace our ancient crappy phones) and my parents putting us on their plan and paying our cell phone bills for a year. Yay!!! sirrogue and dmbtuxwaddle I got the soundtracks to Firefly, Serenity, and BSG S1, and the DVDs of Serenity and 10th Kingdom. (!!!!)
The point of this entry, though, is to post the penguin slippers I made for my brother:
Eyes are round shank buttons from Jo-Ann with pupils Sharpied in; beaks and bow ties are felt. He's been wearing them all day, so I think they're a success. :) I should try and take pics of the chair cushion for the Emperor's Throne that I made for my dad.
Tomorrow, we're up early to hit the half-off ornaments at Hallmark (gotta get that Slave Leia). Then back up to Boston on Tuesday.
