I hate it when I'm stupid. Long story short, Rogue and I were going to visit my parents this weekend, I made the reservations coming back on Tuesday night, somehow forgetting that Rogue has class on Tuesday nights and he can't miss. I could have sworn I had confirmed the arrive/depart dates with him as being OK, but I guess I didn't. Just figured it out yesterday, and it would have been $320 more to switch his flight to Monday or earlier on Tuesday because it's less than a week before the departure date. So we had to cancel his reservation and now I'm visiting home alone.

I suck.

Aw jeeze, that stinks! That happened to us once and we adjusted the difference using frequent flyer miles. I'm sure you've thought of that already, I just wanted to suggest in the slim chance you haven't.

I actually hadn't thought of it, but since this is Southwest I doubt it would have worked. Their freq. flyer program works by "flight credits" instead of mileage, and anyway we've only just started flying them so we don't have that many credits yet.

Thanks for the idea, though. I'll keep it in mind for the future.
