I was not supposed to freak this much about auditions. I was supposed to be calm, cool, and collected. And I was doing so well until I got home and started refreshing the webpage obsessively looking for the callbacks list. And now I'm completely FREAKED OUT that there are too many current students who are tapdancers and are going to beat me out for one of the five stormies. After '03 I swore I'd never wear armor again but I guess it's kind of like childbirth; you forget how much it hurts. Not that I've actually experienced childbirth. But this is what I hear. And also I want to be one of Jabba's dancing girls. ACK ACK ACK.

Also, trying to decipher the callbacks list is sort of fun, in a weird way. I can make pretty good guesses on most of them. But what the hell is me, Nori, Kristin, Liz, and Danbee?

Clearly, the obvious solution is for me to watch 10th Kingdom. Again.

And you're awesome and have tons of experience so I think you're a shoo-in especially over some newbie who no one knows yet who may flake out on the show.

I couldn't tell you how many auditions I lost my first semester in college because of that- the student directors didn't know me from Adam and went with their friend rather than the newbie freshman. What sucked the most was having theater classes with them and always hearing "I should've cast you but no one knew you yet..."

Hang in there!!! Personally if you could swing it (don't know your work situation) you make an incredible Leia. :)

Actually, I'm very specifically trying to avoid anything that might even look like favoritism, because our group has had some troubles with that (with other people) in the past. And the way in which we do casting (current students have preference over alumni or other community members) means it's much more difficult for me to get a larger role. There are at least four current students who'd be just as good a Leia as me, if not better, which means I didn't have a chance. But I knew that going in; I've had my fun as Leia and now I just want to be a dancer.

Honestly, I think there are a lot of great roles, and I know that you have the talent to be in the running for anything you want. I will be wishing you the best of luck, and I hope you get something you love, armor or no.

Yeah, I just have to wait for the next round of interviewing which is a bit nerve-racking, as they need to fill the position before they could think about an assistant for that position ;-)
