I've been on the hunt for a pair of warm, waterproof slush boots for awhile now-- running shoes just don't cut it in a Boston winter-- and finally, finally found a decently cheap, decent-looking pair at Marshall's today. (There's a whole saga there, but it's boring so I won't bother with it.) The point of the story is, in addition to the boring boots I found electric-blue suede Converse One-Stars. For $4. They are shoes of mighty awesomeness, and the second I get back to San Diego I'm going to wear them everywhere.

Which brings me to the Simple Pleasures meme, for which I was tagged by wendyhouse:

1. Getting fantastic new shoes at a ridiculous bargain. I loves me some cheap shoes.
2. Sitting inside a nice warm house with a cup of cocoa, watching snow fall outside.
3. Those peanut-butter-filled Hershey's Kisses.
4. Baby snuggles from nesodj, which of course only happens when he's sleeeeepy.
5. Good food, good alcohol, and good conversation with my awesome friends.

aww i got all warm and fuzzy reading your list. and good shoes for little money is always a plus in life...yeah!
