Tonight we watched our copy of High Society for the first time in...ever, really. (I put it on as background once, a couple years ago.) You know what? Death by Woodwinds aside, it was a really good show. We had good actors with good voices and good chemistry. And it's just *fun.* (Even though the making-of wasn't always that fun. But the show itself, very fun.) And really, any show where I don't cringe at my own performance is okay with me. :)

ETA: I am deeply amused that MTG has an entry on Wikipedia. Fess up, who put it there? (Is this something that everyone but me already knows and I'm just dreadfully out of the loop because I live on the other side of the country now?)

Hi-Sew: death by woodwinds *snort*

I assumed that MTG was in Wikipedia because they needed a reference for SW:ME. Why ain't *that* up there? :-)

You're right! SWME should be up there!

(at least it wasn't death by pterodactyls!)

Wow. That's great. Looks like someone anonymously submitted it February of 2004, from somewhere on campus -- probably some person who really liked Bat Boy.

Really, though, it should be talking about some of the history...perhaps I should add some text. :-)

And perhaps even an entry on SWME? Because self-pimping never goes out of style.

Ah, "High Society," the show where Alex F.F. and I learned the hard way (the *only* way) that it's not a good idea to make major decisions (like whether to "sand" the entire stage or just a part of it) at 4:00AM, especially when there is no one else around from whom to obtain a third (or 4th, or 5th,or...) opinion. Alas. I still regret the skinned knee you suffered at rehearsal the next day...:-( But despite that, it was a helluva show! :-)
