Good day. Good weekend. Yesterday was Dan's birthday celebration (which I'm sure sirrogue will elaborate on). Today-- wait for it-- we went hiking. Yes, really. Okay, it was more walking, less hiking, a very easy trail, but! We did it. And then we came home and got pizza and watched Snacky's Law: The Movie, aka Mean Girls. Lilly Kane! The little girl from Party of Five! Lindsay Lohan before she became a freaky bobbleheaded skeleton! It was pretty damn awesome. I am now in desperate need of an icon of Amanda Seyfried, with that amazingly vacant expression, saying, "On Wednesdays, we wear pink."

Wah, I don't wanna go to work at 8 am tomorrow. I want it to be the weekend forever.

Hiking = very cool! This is a sport I'm quite eager to get into myself at the moment, so I'm all curious about where you guys went.

We hiked Stonewall Peak (http://www.localhikes.com/HikeData.asp?DispType=0&ActiveHike=6&GetHikesStateID=1&ID=4513) in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. A lot more impressive than it sounds, really. Tons of switchbacks, nothing horribly strenuous, but lots of fun and a great view! And a little bit eerie, since the fires in 2003-- all these burned-black dead trees, with wild undergrowth everywhere. We did take some pictures; I'll have to put them up.

Mean Girls is a fun flick. "I'm kind of psychic. It's like I have ESPN or something." And I'm now of the opinion that Amanda Seyfried just rocks at whatever she does. VM, Mean Girls, and her character on HBO's "Big Love" is showing off some pretty nice acting chops.

Isn't she a lesbian with Tina Majorino on Big Love, or something?

On one of the little featurettes it said they originally considered her for Regina, but decided to have her play Karen instead. She'd've been a great Regina, though-- what is Lilly, if not a helluva Queen Bee?
