Serenity last night was-- amazing. It was so powerful, I felt like I'd had the wind knocked out of me when the movie finished. I won't be posting about it at all here, under lock, cut tag, or otherwise, because trust me, you do not want to be spoiled for this movie.

For those on my flist who haven't yet experienced the joys of Firefly, SciFi has announced that it'll be joining their Friday lineup starting at 7 pm on July 22. So if you already watch SG-1, just tune in an hour early! Trust me, it's worth it.

I can't really offer fic or icons or anything like that, but I'll tell you what-- if you start watching Firefly, I'll bake you cookies. Seriously. Just send me your snail mail address. You can either watch it on SciFi, or buy the DVD (there's only 15 eps, so it's cheap-- only $34.99 on amazon), or hell, I'm sure you can download it somewhere. But watch it somehow, and I'll bake you cookies. You don't even have to love it...but I think you will.

Heh - you bake great cookies - but I won't ask you to ship across the country - just enjoy them yourselves, we really need to buy the DVDs anyway - we've seen most of the episodes, but awesome that Sci-Fi is bringing that....now why couldn't they show Farscape more love???

Yes definitely, get the DVDs! The extra features are cool too.

As for Farscape...well. SciFi and Farscape, two tastes that don't taste so great together. Farscape should be going into regular syndication around this fall, though.

Well, it's about time that SciFi stepped up to the plate for Firefly! (You miss so much being away from the internet.)

And most definitely, if you're at all hesitant, just track down your closest Firefly fan. They'll happily sit with you while watching the DVD's.

Of course, you might as well just give in and get the box set, now. Trust me.

It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Halfway through the two-hour pilot I was hooked.
(We've still got a bunch left to watch---we only started last night, so we're only through two disks)

You were right about Farscape, too (nearly done with Season 4), though it took me longer to love than Firefly. But I don't need cookies either. Good advice was present enough---just let me know what series you next like this much, so I can watch it, too.

Farscape can be a tough nut to crack, but usually it manages to catch most everyone who watches it. ;-)

Have you tried the new Battlestar Galactica? 10 pm, SciFi Fridays. That is some *good* TV.
