Dear Heroes,

You are awesome. I find you absolutely fascinating and I think you have the potential to be a seriously amazing series.

HOWEVER. If you could cut the gruesome and gory by about 50%, I would *really* appreciate it.

Love,
Caitlin

Yeah, I um, could have done without the two empty-skulled bodies and the bodies in the trunk . . .

For serious! I was all "uh, are they allowed to show that on network television?" GROSS.

(What the hell is up with these standards? Human head cut IN TWAIN? Great! But, y'know, people doing more than kissing? OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!)

nice superpowers there, fella!

I missed the first episode last week but watched it this week after catching up on spoilers.

I think I just added Heroes to my must see list. Which is good, because SG-1 will be over soon *sob* and I need some good TV to replace it :)

You know it reruns on SciFi Fridays, yeah? That's how we saw the first ep, cause I didn't TiVo the premiere like I had meant.

Ugh - yeah - I don't like the gruesome and gory either. It's too much for me. The dislocations and manglings in the first one really skeeved me out.

Love the icon!

Yes, ew. She started looking at the garbage disposal and I was like "Oh HELL no" and concentrated very hard on ironing a shirt and not on watching the TV.

Thanks! That icon still makes me giggle. :)

Yeah - after the dislocations from earlier, I had a bad bad feeling about the garbage disposal. Ick. I couldn't look either.

Yeah, this show totally lost my mom with all the gross dead bodies. I, personally, was the most freaked out by the woman PINNED TO THE WALL WITH KNIVES OH MY GOD, but I think she didn't realize what that was. She needs new glasses and our TV is shitty. She thought everyone except Hiro was too scary, and she didn't like Hiro enough to watch a whole scary gross show for him. In short, less onscreen grossness, please.

Yes the knives oh god. I was very deliberately NOT watching that whole scene after I got a glimpse of the inside of the house. Why so much gross? A show can be cool and edgy without the gross!

Yeah - the knives - that was awful. I like Hiro too - he's about the only one, honestly..

The part where the camera is looking into both the bowl of cereal and the bowl of the guy's cut-in-half head was a little much for me, blehhhhh. They overlapped in my mind or something and I thought of brain cereal and yeah. Less gore please!

I like the show otherwise, I just want more things to happen. And Hiro is my favorite.

Cut the grusome and gory, and while you are at it, is there any way you can make Hiro less of a Japanese stereotype? He seems like something which escaped out of a Bobby Lee sketch on Mad TV.
