...and therefore may not yet have seen this (I first heard about it from [livejournal.com profile] corngirl_jo):

Someone in Minnesota came up with this brilliant, beautiful idea to send wedding bouquets to the gay couples waiting in line to get married in San Francisco's City Hall. In addition to the florist listed in the original post, [livejournal.com profile] kelliem got information on a second florist willing to deliver flowers. And finally, someone set up a website called Flowers for Al and Don where those who can't afford the $50 to send their own bouquet can donate (via Paypal) to a general fund. The site's already raised more than $3000! Since we're short on cash at the moment, I was only able to give $15, but I feel great about it.

There are pictures of some of the ecstatic couples getting married here. Also, there was a hearing this afternoon, and the judge did NOT issue an injunction to stop the marriages, so they continue for now! There were three cases on this issue; the judge has combined them into one. They haven't set a new hearing date yet. The CNN article on the issue can be found here.

Anyway, just doing my part to get the word out. Seeing all these pictures and reading about the thoughtfulness and generosity of all these people toward strangers they'll never see is really beautiful.

I made a Musical Edition icon. Cause I felt like it.

And for some actual content (is a stupid quiz actual content? Don't kill me, [livejournal.com profile] snarkel), the Yankee or Dixie Quiz, by way of [livejournal.com profile] alij. It told me I'm "39% (Yankee). A definitive Yankee." Well, except for my tendency to refer to groups of people as "y'all," and to get stuck in a Southern accent when I'm sleepy, or in a mood.
