Costume peeps going to D*C: Do you march in the parade? If so, with what group? Do you have to sign up with a group ahead of time or can you join up when you get there? Is it so early and so far away that it's not even worth doing?
The sparkly Han vest now has pockets and topstitching! Hurray! It now looks much more like, well, Han's vest.
kay_dee70, your page and photos were great for helping me figure out the topstitching! I didn't go for accurate pockets, partly due to time, partly because, er, this vest just isn't accurate. I'm pretty sure the rhinestone Falcon gives that away, you know? So I just did plain rectangular patch pockets. Easy peasy.
I wanted to pick up some hook-and-eye tape to replace the velcro on my Elizabeth plum dress, now that it doesn't need to be a quick-release front, and apparently Jo Ann doesn't sell it! What the hell? Where do y'all get your hook and eye tape? It's too late for D*C, but at least for the future...
Today was the first day of the fall semester at the community college, which meant ballet started today! WOO! We didn't dance, cause it's the first day, but I was so happy to be back, and the teacher was happy to see me and gave me a hug! I love our teacher-- she's this tiny German lady, somewhere in her seventies, and she's just the right amount of strict. Tomorrow is my first pattern drafting class, and I am SUPER EXCITED about it!
