A HUGE, GIANT CONGRATULATIONS to my dear friend raykel (and the rest of Arizona) for being the very first to reject a statewide ban on gay marriage and domestic partnerships! With 95.7% of precincts reporting, the proposed amendment is losing 51.5% to 48.5%. Many, many thanks are due to those who ran, organized, and assisted in the campaign against the amendment, including, of course, the amazing raykel! You guys did it! You rock!

And while South Dakota passed their "Marriage Definition" initiative (by a mere 3.4%), they did fail to pass their draconian abortion ban (by more than 11%).
