a matter of grave importance
Dec. 4th, 2006 08:32 pmIn the flurry of discussion over the most recent BSG ep, "Unfinished Business," I haven't seen anyone address this extremely crucial matter:
Why does Kara know how to square dance????
Seriously! This was disturbing me exceedingly during the episode. I mean, she wasn't just doing that linked-elbows haphazard twirling that you break into whenever "Cotton-Eyed Joe" comes on. She totally knew all the steps. Why is this? Is it a hobby? "Captain Thrace enjoys flying her Viper, kicking the crap out of people, and square dancing." Did she have to learn it in fourth grade PE like we did, hating every second because you had to touch the icky boys? Is the Admiral some sort of square-dance junkie who organizes regular sessions aboard Galactica? Cause Lee and Dee certainly knew what they were doing, too.
Hell, for a second there I thought we were watching Firefly or something.
