I'm sitting here, wearing what appears to be an excellent imitation of a hospital gown but which is in fact a mockup for Leia's senatorial robe, with a tape measure tied around my waist to simulate a belt. I've just taken off a pair of blue disposable gloves spattered with black leather dye from three Imperial officer belts. (Two by two, hands of blue!)

The life of a costumer is an odd one. Well, at least I'm wearing clothes.

Yep - costuming makes you seeminly nonsensical things at times - somehow it all comes together in the end though! :-)
