chicklets and princesses

jainaALISSA! ALISSA!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!! I'm so happy! She's just the most beautiful skater, probably my favorite out there right now, and I felt so bad for her after her implosion at Nationals last year. Best free skate of the night! Bronze medal! Going to Worlds! YEAH!
I'm, er, not terribly clear on how Emily's free skate was better than Kimmie's, but whatever, I don't actually care. Either one of them would've had to completely collapse in order to not get a medal.
I'm sad for Bebe that she didn't skate her best, but proud of her for fighting through it and not giving up.
Oh also! I was very proud of Danielle Kahle for her free skate and her jump up in the standings. I felt bad for her last night after they'd gone on about the "Chicklets" and there were Kimmie and Katy way up there after the short, and poor Danielle sitting in 10th. Now I feel bad for Katy, because ouch, that was a very unhappy program for her.
Okay, now I can get on with my day. The men skate tonight (at a reasonable hour for me, not so much for you East Coast people).
