Do Lee and Dad remind anyone else of Sydney and Jack? "You were a bad father and emotionally distant and I hate you! Oh no wait, you're awesome, I love you. No, changed my mind, hate you again! Oh, sorry, my bad, I actually love you. *hug* ONOEZ you have betrayed me, I hate you!" I mean really, guys, it starts to lose meaning after awhile, you know? At least Lee doesn't cry at the end of every episode. Yet.

Meh. I am distinctly underwhelmed. Of course Baltar was going to be found not guilty. Of course Kara was going to come back. I was unspoiled, but none of these were surprises. It's television, after all. And, er, the almost-final four? I'm not convinced. If Tigh wasn't among them, I'd be slightly more convinced, but-- no.

Also, what the hell is up with having them *actually speak* the lyrics to a freaking Jimi Hendrix song? The level of WTF on that was so high that it threw me completely out of the world of the show. Having it as background music would've been fine, even having it be the weird cylon music they were hearing, but speaking the lyrics, like in a bad songfic? Nuh-uh.

Ugh, it's midnight. Don't wanna get up tomorrow morning.

I did not. I liked bits of it, because bits were amusing. But as a whole it was rather trite. The comicbook is still better.

I couldn't stand it and read the recaps for season 3 and I watched the last few episodes even though I'm still netflixing season 2. That means I've had lots of WTF? lately. The Lee-and-Bill thing was one of the big ones.

But Tigh? A Cylon? It just seems an awful lot to swallow; for one thing, why not activate him earlier? Unless he's been drinking to block his programming. Still, it does mean that next season will be interesting with the questions around Tigh and Tyrol.

I think Lee had a vision or something. It's not really Kara.

Tigh is really the dealbreaker for me. Everyone else, okay, I could accept that. But TIGH is a Cylon? Just-- why? What's the point, other than the DRAMAH factor?

yeah.. the All along the watchtower bit was a bit.. odd.. a little non sequitur.. unless Jimi Hendrix is a cylon and was on earth.

while we figured that Baltar was going to not be executed, i felt they did a good job with getting us there. not a surprise but a good journey.

as for the Fab Four - i don't think they're cylons.. rather they are being tricked into thinking they are, in order for them to doubt themselves and be crankier than usual. the bartender is in on it (where all of them heard the music first). i think the cylons did something to them when they were on new caprica.. we know that Tigh was picked up and messed with, and perhaps the other 3 resistance members were also similarly chipped or tagged (although anders kept a low profile.. hmm..)
whitney thinks that perhaps they are incomplete.. that Kara is supposed to be the fifth member of their band. she also reminded me that from season one, the creators have been wanting a way to introduce a familiar music piece into the show. (but again to me, non sequitur).

i think it is Kara, not really dead. you'd think if she were really dead, they'd spend a little more time mourning her properly... like having a funeral or somesuch. nope, one week she goes boom, and next week, Lee's becoming a lawyer and Anders is a little drunk and falls down.

See that's what I was thinking too, since they were all the Resistance people, that somehow the Cylons were just screwing with them. Unfortunately it looks like that's probably not the case.

I feel like Kara can't possibly be dead. Her special destiny was to die in a fire? Mmm, not so much.

Anders is a little drunk and falls down

Whoops! Fellover.

Wow. Totally disagree with you. I thought it was a brilliant episode!

But either way, he has you thinking, doesn't he? (By he, I mean Ron Moore.)

I've just been thoroughly confused since Maelstrom (?) (the one where Kara 'dies'. That threw me for a loop.

This whole Lee / Bill drama excessive, if not unexpected. After all, they never really got along. I agree that the whole lawyer thing was a bit of a stretch.

The Hendrix was interesting. Maybe it finally made it out that far into space ;)

The whole "a crew member is really a cylon sleeper agent" thing is a bit silly. It's over done. Boomer, Xena (which ever number Lucy Lawless was), all the guys. *yawn* Tigh? Nah. He's a grumpy, cranky, old fart that is impossible to feel for. Give me a shocker. Like Bill being a cylon. I wouldn't be particularly surprised if Laura was a cylon. And with Kara dying and coming back, that wouldn't be particularly surprising (it would be surprising if she wasn't a cylon though).

The Baltar verdict wasn't a surprise (it wouldn't have been a surprise either way), but it did give Lee a nice little moment there (*whine* *whine* We're not a civilization, we're A GANG *whine* *whine*).

Overall, meh.

No. The thing that gets me is that I have to wait until fracking 2008 to see the next season. That's ohmygod obnoxious. Though I suppose it gives the BSG writing team a chance to bone up on Lost and meet with Damon to figure out more ways to screw with us.

"Oh yes, and randomly out of nowhere, I always admired my grandfather who was a lawyer and my father just presciently happened to have his Law Books and his Papers here on the ship" and what the HELL? That was some hella lazy writing.

Give me a shocker. Like Bill being a cylon.

That reminds me of first season: "If I'm a Cylon, then you're really screwed." Ah, Mom and Dad.

I really hope Kara's not the final Cylon. It's so damn obvious that I feel like she can't be, but then-- I've been wrong like that before, sadly.

SciFi are idiots about scheduling. They're *finally* going to start the second half of Atlantis season 4, after the entire thing has already aired in Canada, and anyone who cares enough (ie, not me) has downloaded it all. Well hey, maybe by next year I'll have forgotten how annoyed this show can make me, and I'll be all fuzzy and nostalgic and ready to welcome it back.
