DUDE. WHAT THE FUCK. WAS WITH THAT EPILOGUE. It was like an insane fanfic. With the names. And the everything. I mean, I've been pro-OBHWF since day one, but-- OMG. WTF.

Okay, that out of the way...actually I don't really know what else to say. The teachers banding together to start the defense of Hogwarts got the first real wave of tears going. I was completely convinced Ron was going to bite it/get captured/something when he flounced off the first time. I'm kind of pissed that Hagrid didn't die. (Had there been actual bets placed in the death pool, I would've lost like crazy.)

And don't mess with Molly Weasley. She'll fuck you up.

ETA: They named their kids JAMES AND LILY AND ALBUS FREAKING SEVERUS. I am STILL NOT OVER THIS. I just-- SERIOUSLY? (Siriusly?)

I hope James' middle name is Sirius. And poor, poor Albus Severus. Couldn't they have gone with Brian? Also, doesn't Ginny get any say in the names? She did all the heavy lifting, after all. Er, after the final battle, I mean.

I love that Draco and Narcissa fit neatly into the roles into which one of my favorite fanfic series cast them (the Draco/Neville one). Soooo great that Draco is clearly reluctant all along. Although I do hope someone took Lucius' pimp cane and beat him with it at some point.

Fucking bloodbath in the end. I would not want my 7-year-old reading this without supervision. Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed! Nooooooooooooo! I was really subconsciously hoping that by writing a horribly twisty fanfic in which Fred dies I would somehow prevent it from happening in the book.

Yeah, I really could have done without the blatant fanfic epilogue. And yeah, I have to feel sorry for them with some of those names. I think I'm just stopping at the first ending.

Fred. *sniff* All those angsty "George mourns Fred" fanfics I read must have jinxed me. Sigh.

Remus. Well, at least the mauraders are together .... and Harry's faced the "godfather" complex just like Sirius. I'm not sure if I liked that bit of cyclical storytelling. Then again, I'm just pissed at what she did to Remus. The one maurader I absolute adored above all others.

Snape. EXACTLY how I and numerous other people called it. Glad they didn't make him all suddenly "I like Harry" which would have majorly annoyed me.

No way I'd give this to a child to read--I'm already recommending to my good friend that despite it all, reading this one to her seven year old is NOT a good thing.

koshka_the_cat did point out what Albus Severus Potter's initials are. He's so going to be a Slytherin! :-)

The names didn't bother me too much since there are a lot of odd wizard names.

I didn't mind the epilogue, but I would have liked to know more about what Harry was doing (Auror?) and what some of the other characters were up to...
