like Princess Bride! but with CGI!
Aug. 9th, 2007 10:18 pmJust back from a preview of Stardust-- SO AWESOME!!! We also won a copy of the book at the screening, which I know, the movie's quite different, but I'm very much looking forward to reading it. The movie was wonderful, and I can't wait to go again and ogle the costumes some more! The blue dress will be mine, oh yes, precious.
And last night my official Sith Cheerleader outfit came, wooohooo! A few alterations need to be made, but it looks fantastic and I can't wait to wear it in a group at D*C! Gotta figure out which direction I want to take-- punk, goth, prep, etc. I did buy some clip-in red extensions, but I think they might be the wrong shade of red. Of course I wore it around the house for like an hour, and
sirrogue put in the Bring It On DVD and we ended up watching all of it, naturally. God, I love that movie.
Been a busy week so far-- we saw the Red Sox lose to the Angels (boo!) on Monday night; on Tuesday we helped
jencallisto,
lemurtanis, and
yandros with their Giant Moves of Doom (never again the 5x5 Ikea Expedits!); Wednesday was for laundry, but then we also ended up going back over to pick up some more stuff that
lemurtanis and
yandros awesomely gave to us; and then today we camped out in line for Stardust for a couple hours, then saw the movie. Phew! Tomorrow night is cleaning the upstairs, which should *mostly* get the house back in order. (Like the icon says, "Costuming: the real reason your house is such a fucking disaster.") And Saturday morning is my haircut and color in prep for D*C. (Has to be this weekend-- I still have to go on business trips to San Jose and Portugal before D*C. Ack!)
In conclusion, here's the ACParadise video of our Rebel Dreams skit-- it's a full-stage view from the audience, rather than the "official" video, so it doesn't have any strange closeups that don't show the choreography.

My costume bud and I will be Admiral Caine
and President Roslin. We also each have general
BSG officers uniforms. And we might even drag out
the dress grays.
I am really looking forward to
the Parade this year.
it coming up so fast.

Date: 2007-08-19 05:08 am (UTC)hey, what "official" Sith cheerleader outfit? How could anything improve on your original one?
(okay, maybe fluffier, laser-beam-shooting pompoms, or a lightsaber-baton...)
but still! I love your original one!
