donate lj's money to help schools

Yikes, there's only about 2 hours left to do this, but hopefully a few people will see it-- LJ is offering $30 gift certificates for donorschoose.org, where you can browse teachers' requests for funding for specific projects. I'm not explaining this well, but I'm trying to write it as quickly as possible.

Bottom line, email donorschoose@sixapart.com before 5 pm Pacific time today (10/1) and you'll get $30 of LJ's money to donate to needy schools.

ETA: There are several sewing-related requests, which I think is kind of awesome. Here's one, and here's another, and this one in particular is fashion/costuming related. I got 17 results total when I typed "sewing" in the search box.
