I'm so excited that So You Think You Can Dance is back! I loooove dancing shows, and SYTYCD is my very favorite. It's just a bunch of really good dancers doing their thing, and it's fun to watch a ballroom dancer have to do hip-hop, or a breakdancer do disco. I stay the heck away from the fandom though, because I honestly don't care who's a jerk or who's stuck-up or who's dating who, I just want to see some great dancing!

So to celebrate, here are some of my favorite dances from seasons 2 and 3 (I didn't watch 1):

S3: Anya & Danny, Jive ("Girlfriend")
One of my all-time favorites (and lauched my obsession with this stupid song).

S2: Benji & Heidi, Mambo ("Black Mambo")
This one works better if you pretend they aren't cousins.

S3: Neil & Sara, Disco ("Knock on Wood")
SO MUCH FUN. Neil's tumbling in the beginning is unreal.

S2: Benji & Donyelle, Broadway ("You Can't Stop the Beat")
Personality exploding everywhere!

S3: Danny & Lacey, Samba ("Hip Hip Chin Chin")
ZOMG. HOT.

S2: Top 10 Group Dance, "Ramalama Bang Bang"
Zombiedance FTW! This thing is amazing.

S3: Pasha & Sara, West Coast Swing ("The Rockafeller Skank)
Pasha and Sara are the CUTEST THING. (And Benji's a good choreographer, but he comes off awfully annoying in the beginning.)

S3: Top 14 Group Dance, "You Can't Stop the Beat" (again)
Notice how there's only 6 girls? Yeah, Dom dropped Sabra on her head during the dress rehearsal. But she ended up winning the whole thing, so I guess it works out.

S2: Heidi & Travis, Paso Doble (Zorro soundtrack)
"Intense" is definitely the word for this one!

S3: Pasha & Lauren, Hip-Hop ("Fuego")
Dancing Transformers! Sort of.

I sent her email, no reply yet. But I'm sure it will be fine. :) Yep, that's my phone number. I'm pretty sure I still have yours, assuming it's the same as it was last SDCC? I'm happy to help out!

I left a note on her LJ, too. Thank you! I hope it works out.

I just got email and she says sure! Yay! How do you transport your costume-- do we need to keep a space open for a particularly-shaped suitcase or box or anything?

Whoo awesome! I usually transport my Padme costume in a garment bag, but I lost all of those so it will probably just be a few layers on hangers, and a very small little grocery bag with the accessories.
