Many thoughts on Friday Night Lights 3x01, "I Knew You When," somewhat more relevant than the BSG ones:

- I hate feeling like we've missed so much. I really really hate it.
- Also, haha flexible ages. All of a sudden everyone was a sophomore during first season...suuuure. They could have at least done something with Riggins being held back or something.
- Oh, *Smash.* *cries*
- MATTY WHAT. I thought we already did this thing with your self-confidence?
- Ahaha, now Dillon has a college? Of course it does.
- Riggins Brothers therapy in a strip club. Oh, I love it. "You're a rebound from Jesus." *dies*
- Does everyone look thinner, or is it just me?
- I love the lingerie on the laundry line at the Collette house!
- "Make it work." Oh dear oh dear, almost laughing too hard to type. Coach Taylor...Tim Gunn. Coach Taylor...Tim Gunn. *giggles*
- Oh, *Tyra.* Tyra, Tyra, Tyra.
- "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Eat your eggs." ILU, Coach.
- I miss the original Gracie Belle with the big eyes. :(
- Blah blah Riggins Lyla blah. Also, blah.
- Oh you are NOT badmouthing my Matty. SHUT UP JERKY DAD GUY. Hey jerky dad, maybe you could have discussed all this crap with Coach *before* you moved your whole family?
- Julie Taylor, I want to slap your lying little face. I know she's a thousand-percent true-to-life teenager, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. And I'm not saying Tami was right, either, but.
- Tyra and Mrs. Coach make me so happy. Just the look on Tami's face when Tyra was like "they're just gonna have a kid and get divorced and Mindy's gonna spend the rest of her life going after Billy for child support."
- Smash, baby, you're breaking my heart. We didn't get his story and I hate that the strike robbed us of it.
- Oh dear. We got us a Coach-Mrs. Coach showdown brewing, I tell you what.
- That's right, freshman, you step back. GO MATTY! GO RIGGINS! GO COACH!
- Hang in there Matty, Coach still loves you more than the new kid.
- Grandma Saracen. *cries*
- Love the continuity of that first after-game party, year to year.
- So much wrapped up in that "best of Panther football" video-- Jason, Smash, Matty, all the players who've come before, who are still there...
- "Because I need something good to happen." Oh, *Coach.*

And I didn't notice until just now, when I went to title this post-- they never said "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose."

OH SHOW I HAVE MISSED YOU.

AHAHAHA, I'm glad I'm not the only one wtfing over the ages. I thought it was implied pretty seriously that Rigs was a senior last year, and I could totally buy that he and Smash were the same class. In my head he was held back. Because...ummm, yeah.

And we get so much more of Smash's story. *cough* Not that I've found the eps illegally or anything. ;) But yes.

Ohhhh, I am so glad to hear that about Smash. I considered ahemming the episodes, but we never even caught up on everything we TiVoed this fall, so.

Riggs was totally held back!
